day 6: a song that reminds you of a roadtrip

Nelly- Ride Wit Me 

in 2001 i drove from LA to boston. i like to know what regional radio is like, so i’d flip through the stations whenever we got to a new city. there were a lot of differences, but it seemed like every station was required to play this song, “country grammar,” or “pop” by n’sync. it got to feel like nelly was our buddy and when we heard this as we were driving into st. louis i remember leaning my head out the window and yelling “nelly we made it!”
